Meet Suzanne

Suzanne designs and makes kiln-fired glass gifts from Seabird studio in Shelfanger, near Diss, in rural Norfolk — not far from the sea.
Drawn to beachcombed pebbles, sea-tumbled glass and the aquamarine palette of the Mediterranean coast, every piece is individually made and inspired by nature and quiet Scandinavian simplicity.

Glass Workshops
What happens during a fused glass workshop?+
You'll spend a relaxed, creative day at Seabird Studio learning the basics of kiln-fired glass with Suzanne. You'll design and assemble your own piece using coloured glass, before Suzanne fires it in the kiln to fuse it together.
Do I need any previous experience?+
Not at all. Our fused glass workshops in Norfolk are suitable for complete beginners. Suzanne guides you through every step in a small, friendly group.
How long does a workshop last?+
Most workshops run for around three to four hours, giving you plenty of time to design, cut and assemble your glass piece without feeling rushed.
What is included in the price?+
All materials, tuition, glass, kiln firing and refreshments are included. You'll leave with everything needed for Suzanne to finish and post your piece to you.
Can I book a private workshop?+
Yes. Private workshops are a lovely option for birthdays, hen parties, family days and small celebrations. Please get in touch to arrange dates.
Can I buy a workshop gift voucher?+
Yes — workshop gift vouchers are available and make a beautiful, thoughtful present for anyone who loves to make and create.
Is the workshop suitable for beginners?+
Absolutely. The majority of our guests have never worked with glass before. The atmosphere is calm, welcoming and unhurried.
How long does it take to receive my finished glass?+
Each piece needs to be kiln-fired after the workshop, so finished glass is usually ready within two to three weeks and posted to you carefully packaged.
